Philip Kershaw, J.P. (OS 1957)
The school is saddened to report that Old Stopfordian & Former Governor, Mr Philip Kershaw J.P., passed away on 10th November 2019, aged 73.
Philip attended Stockport Grammar School as a pupil between 1951-1957. He was first appointed as the Ephraim Hallam Nominative Governor of the school in May 1994. He served two three-year terms in this capacity and then became a nominative Governor in February 2000 until he retired in 2004.
Mr Kershaw’s funeral will take place at 2pm on Monday 2nd December 2019 at St. Peter’s Church, Prestbury SK10 4DG. Donations to St Peter’s Church Prestbury. Funeral enquiries to JW Brocklehurst, Prestbury 01625 829232.
