Robert Haszeldine (OS 1942)
Stockport Grammar School was saddened to receive the news that Professor Haszeldine passed away on 13th October 2016. Robert studied at Birmingham University initially during the war, then onto Cambridge University for his PhD and further research. A highly successful career working with fluorine chemistry, and consultancy in this field to industry both in the UK and abroad, resulted in him becoming a Fellow of the Royal Society as well as being awarded medals for his ground breaking work.
