Out Of Hours And Holiday Care

Morning drop-off

From 8am

Nursery

Children may be dropped off at the Nursery building between 8am and 8.40am.

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2

Children may arrive from 8am and play on the astro but they must be supervised by their parent/guardian until a member of staff comes outside to collect them at 8.20am. In the case of light rain, parents and children should wait under the canopy in the outside seating area of the playground.

If it is raining heavily or in the case of freezing temperatures, children will be invited into the classroom from 8am onwards.

For children arriving between 8.20am and 8.40am, a member of the Infant staff will greet you at the entrance to the Infant playground.

Years 3 to 6

Children in Years 3 to 6 may be dropped off in the playground between 8am and 8.40am where they are supervised by our team of staff. In the case of inclement weather, children will be supervised by staff in their classrooms.

Before school

Breakfast Club (from 7.30am)

Breakfast Club runs from 7.30am, providing a simple breakfast and supervised play for children from Nursery to Year 6 and a charge of £7 is applied. Children may be dropped off from 7.30am onwards at the entrance to the swimming pool. Nursery children are escorted from Breakfast Club to the Nursery at 8am. Reception to Year 6 children are escorted to school at 8.20am. Junior children can then join their friends in the playground or attend other organised activities such as LAMDA classes or orchestra.

Morning Club (from 7.45am)

Morning Club runs from 7.45am in the same building as Breakfast Club and follows the same timings. Morning Club is free of charge as no breakfast is provided.

It is essential that both Breakfast Club and Morning Club are booked in advance via juniorafterschool@stockportgrammar.co.uk before 5.30pm the day before the service is required or on Friday before 5.30pm if it is required on Monday morning.

After school

Runs every day after school until 6pm.

Cost and times

Cost per session:

• £8 from 3.30pm to 4.45pm
• £13 until 6pm

Activities

Activities include:

• arts and crafts
• board games
• computers
• films
• outdoor games
• sports
• toys

Juniors will also have the opportunity to do their homework.

Holiday care

Holiday care runs on the following dates:

• Summer break 2025: Monday 7th July to Friday 22nd August 2025
• Autumn half-term 2025: Monday 20th to Friday 31st October 2025
• Spring half-term 2026: Monday 16th to Friday 20th February 2026
• Easter break 2026: Tuesday 7th to Friday 17th April 2026
• Summer half-term 2026: Tuesday 26th to Friday 29th May 2026
• Summer break 2026: Monday 6th July to Friday 28th August 2026

Opening times

Starts: 8.30am
Finishes: 5.45pm prompt (late collections are charged at £20 per hour)

Cost

£32 per day, payable via Wisepay and subject to availability.

• parachute games
• sports days

Warm and waterproof clothing is needed as we try to spend as much time outside as possible. Practical clothing is advisable for all activities.

Children must wear their cycle helmet for bike rides.

Lunch

Children should bring drinks and snacks for break times and a packed lunch.
