Before school

Breakfast Club and other organised activities

Drop Off: Infants

Children in Reception, Year One and Year Two may be dropped at our Breakfast and Morning Club (see section below) before 8.15am. Alternatively, if you wish to bring your child into school, please wait in the playground until 8.20am, at which time we will open the door and welcome children in.

Drop Off: Juniors

Children can attend our Breakfast and Morning Club from 7.30am. School opens at 8am, at which time, children from Years Two to Six are supervised in the playground (unless it is wet, when they are supervised inside). We encourage children in the Juniors to take responsibility for their own coats and bags and so we ask parents not to come in with their children in the morning unless there is a specific reason to do so.

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club is available for all children and is accessed via the main Sports Hall entrance which leads to the swimming pool.

There is a charge of £6 per session for attendance from 7.30am and the children will be given a light breakfast. There is no charge for Morning Club (from 7.45am).

Junior children can then be escorted over to join with their friends at 8.15am if they would like to do so, or indeed to attend other organised activities such as LAMDA classes or orchestra.

You can book Breakfast Club by calling the school office on 0161 419 2405 or emailing juniorafterschool@stockportgrammar.co.uk before 5.30pm the day before the service is required (or on Friday if it is required on Monday morning).

After school

Runs every day after school.

Cost and times

Cost per session:

  • £7 from 3.30pm to 4.30pm
  • £10 until 6pm

Activities

Activities include:

  • arts and crafts
  • board games
  • computers
  • films
  • outdoor games
  • sports
  • toys

Juniors will also have the opportunity to do their homework.

Holiday care

Holiday care runs on the following dates:

  • Autumn half-term 2023: Monday 23rd October to Friday 3rd November 2023
  • Spring half-term 2024: Monday 12th to Friday 16th February 2024
  • Easter break 2024: Tuesday 2nd to Friday 12th April 2024
  • Summer half-term 2024: Tuesday 28th to Friday 31st May 2024
  • Summer break 2024: Monday 8th July to Friday 23rd August 2024

Opening times

Starts: 8.30am
Finishes: 5.45pm prompt (late collections are charged at £20 per hour)

Cost

£28 per day, payable via Wisepay and subject to availability.

  • messy arts
  • model-making
  • films
  • parachute games
  • sports days

Warm and waterproof clothing is needed as we try to spend as much time outside as possible. Practical clothing is advisable for all activities.

Children must wear their cycle helmet for bike rides.

Lunch

Children should bring drinks and snacks for break times and a packed lunch.
