Mission Christmas: pupils support charity appeal
Children throughout the school have been supporting Key 103’s Mission Christmas campaign to deliver gifts to local children living in poverty.
The junior school have been supporting Key 103’s Cash for Kids campaigns for the last three years and were invited along to meet Breakfast Show hosts Mike Toolan and Chelsea Norris as they presented their show from the Mission Christmas headquarters.
Chelsea interviewed the year 6 pupils live on air and thanked them for their generous donations. They were able to collect autographs from the two presenters before they made their way back to school.
Cash and gifts
Over in the senior school, our pupils haven’t just been donating gifts – they’ve also been raising cash for the cause.
Toys can still be donated at the Arco warehouse in Trafford Park, or if you’d prefer to give cash you can donate via the Cash for Kids website.
More Christmas fundraising
A group of senior school carol singers raised money for Beechwood Cancer Care by entertaining Christmas shoppers at Handforth Dean.
Pupils from year 4 also took part in some carol singing when they visited two local care homes to entertain the residents with their fantastic renditions of Jingle Bells, Little Donkey and Santa Claus is Coming to Town.
Reception got into the festive spirit by having an ‘elf day’ where they baked biscuits, wore hats, played elf games, tested their hunting skills through an elf adventure and decorated stockings.
