Pupils score highly at UK Mathematics Trust intermediate challenge
Mathematicians from the third year through to the fifth year took part in the second round of the UK Mathematics Trust intermediate challenge recently, with our pupils impressing in a field of over 200,000 competitors.
From the third year, three of our pupils qualified for the grey kangaroo competition. Ana Krywonos and Jessica Black both achieved very high scores, while Alexa Holland finished in the top 25% of the UK’s participants, gaining her a merit.
Five of our fifth year pupils also participated in the extremely difficult Olympiad maclaurin challenge. Zoe Harris, Leo Hotchkies and Milan Lakhani all gained merits, with Sam Allport and Sam Arrowsmith also scoring highly.
