SGS Historian – Issue Five now live
The fifth edition of the ‘SGS Historian’, a magazine created by Lower Sixth pupils in the History department, is now available to read online and in print.
The editorial team worked remotely as they diligently researched, wrote and edited another excellent publication – this year concentrating on the theme of events throughout history that have shaped Britain.
Student Kate Langton said: “As a team we have very much enjoyed researching and writing these essays, we’ve all worked very hard to produce a magazine which we are extremely proud of and which we hope you enjoy reading!”
Head of Sixth Form Mr David Stone added: “The challenges of putting together a magazine while working remotely has served only to spur on this year’s SGS Historian team!
“They have collaborated impressively with each other and, in particular, with the designer Georgia Sykes, to blend together their well-researched and written selection of articles on the theme of defining moments in Britain’s past.”
This year’s contributors were Kate Langton, Martha Ryan, Dan Grant, Ciaran Morgan, Rabeeah-Nuur Mohammed, Georgia Sykes, Ms Griffiths and Mr Stone.
