SPA annual Christmas Fair raises thousands for school
This year’s SPA Christmas Fair took place on Saturday with amazing results.
Over recent years, events like the Christmas fair have helped the Stopfordian Parents’ Association donate thousands of pounds to charity and towards school projects, from toys for our infant children to huge contributions towards new school minibuses and state-of-the-art lighting systems.
Grotto, games and stalls
The children enjoyed a fantastic selection of stalls including a teddy tombola, face and nail painting, jar hoopla, lucky dip, pin the nose on the snowman and Christmas card crafts.
There were also nearly 20 external stalls selling a variety of gifts and treats. Everyone enjoyed the festive food and drink and were entertained by the music which was provided by the Salvation Army Band, Stockport Brass Band and a pianist.
Also new for this year was a fantastic Photo Booth with props which the grownups and kids had a lot of fun with.
The main raffle had some amazing prizes including a Swegway hover board, an Ipad Air, Beats Headphones, a £100 Trafford Centre Voucher, a Spa Day, an Indian Cookery Class for 6 people and much more.
Santa also made a surprise early visit in our wonderful Grotto.
The SPA would like to thank all the parents, pupils and staff who helped at the fair, and to everybody who came along and joined in the fun!
