Sports Days showcase Juniors’ athletic talent

Hurdles race at Infants Sports Day 2021

Junior School pupils had a great time taking part in Sports Days in glorious Stockport sunshine.

The Infants had their own Sports Day with Years Three and Four and Years Five and Six holding separate events.

Infant Sports Day

Early Year Foundation Stage and Key Stage One children had lots of fun competing in several different events such as long jump, ladder racing, hurdles, a sack race and a nerf throw.

Following this, the children competed in sprint races before finishing the event off with a relay. It was a glorious afternoon with competition, fun and laughter!

The results were Arden in first, Vernon in second, Warren third and Nicholson fourth.

Sports Day – Years Three to Six

Key Stage Two children enjoyed a gloriously sunny and warm day for their separate Years Three and Four and Years Five and Six events.

Pupils put on their House bibs and coloured tops to battle for the points to see who would win their team the Sports Day Cup.

Across the day pupils took part in a range of events including hurdles, ball throw, long jump, a middle distance run and a sprint before coming together to compete in the relay races.

The pupils created a great atmosphere and supported their House and friends and they deserve a well done for putting in such a fantastic effort, which meant the final scores were very close.

In the Years Three and Four competition Vernon finished top, Warren were second, Arden third and Nicholson fourth.

In the Years Five and Six competition Nicholson topped the table, Vernon were runners-up, Warren came third and Arden finished fourth.
