Welcome to the SGS Sixth Form Virtual Open Event
Our SGS Sixth Form Virtual Open Event is now live!
Due to the current Government guidelines we are of course unable to host the Sixth Form Open Event in its traditional format, so in its place all of our A-level departments have filmed presentations to provide you with detailed information on their subjects.
There is also a series of short films by staff, current Sixth Formers and alumni to provide an insight into the supportive Sixth Form community here at SGS. Had we been able to hold the event in school, we would have been proud to show you the newly opened Sixth Form social and study spaces, so please do take a moment to explore the photos of the new development.

We are very proud of our students’ excellent examination performances in the Sixth Form yet being part of the community at SGS is about more than focussing solely on academic achievements. Preparing for the next steps in all ways, including university admissions and personal development, is our overarching aim. We were delighted when this was recognised by the ISI Inspectors in Autumn 2019, resulting in the highest possible rating of “Excellent”.
Every year we welcome students from other state and independent schools who join us for Sixth Form.
