Performing Arts

At Stockport Grammar School, pupils of all ages have the opportunity to participate in an exciting range of drama productions as well as musical performances and dance shows.

Regular musical productions bring together drama, music, dance and backstage teams in an exciting collaboration to showcase and develop our pupils’ talents, with the most recent production ‘Annie’ involving more than 100 girls and boys. Recent drama productions have ranged from a thought provoking upper school performance of ‘Dreams of Anne Frank’ to a Roald Dahl project which saw younger pupils challenged to stage a play with just a weekend to learn their lines and choreography.

This year, pupils have enjoyed taking part in the show-stopping dance production ‘SGS Loves Dance’ and preparing for the Spring Term production of ‘Midsummer Night’s Dream’.

Details of our regular music concerts and recitals are available here.
