    Junior School pupils have been taking part in an array of exciting performing arts activities with an action-packed trip in London, a thrilling tour of the Warner Bros. Studios, a concert at the world-famous Manchester Arena and the continuation of their rehearsals for this year’s Year Six Production, Mary Poppins.

    Anticipation is growing after the Under 13 netball team reached the final of the Independent Schools Netball Cup following an impressive series of results during their cup run. The girls are aiming to defend the title that the school won last year.

    After an exciting and action-packed start to the Autumn and Spring terms, pupils are hard at work preparing for the next spectacular school productions – ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ in the Senior School, ‘Mary Poppins’ in the Junior School and the long-awaited Spring Concert, hosted at The Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.

    The Under 16 rugby team capped off a memorable season by securing the Cheshire Cup after a series of gruelling encounters and fantastic displays. The cup triumph follows the news that twenty of our rugby players are enjoying Sale Sharks and county selections.

    Fifth Year pupils Cam Wylie, Oliver Ensor-Adams and Zara Latif demonstrated their great geographical knowledge as they won the Geographical Association’s North West Regionals WorldWise Quiz – the third time Stockport Grammar School has won the competition in the last three years entered.
