Public exam results
We are finally in a position to confirm the results obtained by our girls and boys in the summer public examinations. As in previous years, a number of grade awards have been raised following review by the examination boards and we have amended our statistics accordingly. We are delighted to record that, overall, last year’s Upper Sixth pupils achieved 87% of their A level passes at A* to B grades.
The 168 pupils of our Fifth Form secured 72% of their grades at A*/A, with a new record at * grade of over 40%. 91% of successes secured a B grade or higher and a third of the cohort gained straight A and * grades. They will receive their certificates at the forthcoming GCSE presentation evening on Tuesday, 19th November.
Full details can be found on our website.
Particular congratulations go to those pupils from last year’s Fifth Form who found time to complete additional GCSE courses as ‘co-curricular activities’. Jonathan Bennett, Henry Brearley, Ellen Downs, Alexa Holland, Thea Hudson and Adit Kulkarni each secured 11 A*s, having taken an extra qualification in Further Mathematics. Jessica Black and Emily Dow studied both Further Mathematics and Greek alongside the ‘standard’ programme of ten GCSEs. All of their passes were at * and A grades.
Maya Bagshaw of 2U sat Japanese at the end of her first year in the School. She scored 296 marks from a possible 300 achieving an A* grade at GCSE Level.

A wreath was laid and a minute’s silence held in memory of all those who died.
