Our School

Stockport Grammar Junior School is a happy, inviting place where the children in our care grow to become confident learners.

As well as the classrooms we have specialist teaching rooms for ICT, Science, Music, Art and Design and Technology and a well-stocked and well-used library.

In addition to the all-weather pitch at the front of the Junior School, which boasts an eight lane sprint track, a cricket pitch and nets and two rounders pitches, the pupils share a further all-weather pitch, swimming pool, sports hall and extensive playing fields with the Senior School.

Our Nursery class is based in a new single storey building within the grounds of the Junior School.

With large bi-fold doors, the new development links the inside and the outside enabling the children to fully embrace outdoor learning whilst at the same time benefitting from high quality teaching from fully qualified teachers and Nursery assistants.

Other recent redevelopment and improvement work has seen an entirely new roof for the main building and, thanks to an extension to the front of the building, the changing rooms have doubled in size and there is a new canopy attached to the side of the Junior School Hall.
