525 gala concert
Saturday 25th February 2012, 7.30pm, Royal Northern College of Music
A concert which will feature the Stockport Grammar School chorus and chamber choir in collaboration with Chorale, Cheshire Sinfonia and professional soloists at the Royal Northern College of Music as part of our 525th anniversary celebrations.
The programme for the concert is:
Handel – The King Shall Rejoice
Mozart – Symphony No. 38 in D major “Prague”
Haydn – “Nelson” Mass in D minor
Tickets are priced at £10 for adults and £8 for concessions and are available directly from Mrs Sarah Johnson, the Music department administrator, on 0161 456 9000 or johnsonsj@stockportgrammar.co.uk, or online via the RNCM box office.
Oliver!
Wednesday 14th March to Saturday 17th March 2012, 7pm, main hall

The box office for the school’s production of Oliver! is now open.
The show will run in the main hall for 4 nights between Wednesday 14th and Saturday 17th March 2012, starting at 7pm.
Tickets are now on sale from the Music department priced at £9 for premium seats and £6 for standard seats. Premium seats will offer the best view of the show, while some standard tickets may have a slightly restricted view.
To purchase tickets please return the ticket request form, downloadable below, to Mrs Sarah Johnson in the Music department with cash or cheque for the total value of the tickets. Please make cheques payable to Stockport Grammar School and return the form promptly as tickets are limited.

Oxbridge dinner
Friday 4th May 2012, Hertford College, Oxford, 6.30pm
Stockport Grammar School cordially invites you to the Oxbridge dinner at Hertford College, Oxford.
Tickets are £50 each (£35 for full-time students). The ticket price includes meal and drinks.
Dress is black tie for gentlemen and cocktail dresses for ladies.

Old Stopfordians Wasdale reunion

At the recent Old Stopfordians 1980s reunion, a number of people showed great interest in attending another Wasdale weekend (the last gathering was in May 2007). We are therefore inviting you to join us for Wasdale 2012.

Senior School taster days

This summer we are running two Senior School taster days for Year 5 children from local primary schools. The days will be focused around a series of fun but educational activities to give children a taste of life at senior school in the hope of making the transition a less daunting experience.
