Dr Jeffrey G Bissenden Mb ChB MA FRCP (OS 1962)
Stockport Grammar School was saddened to receive the news that Old Stopfordian Dr Jeffrey Bissenden (OS 1962) has sadly passed away following a battle with melanoma.
Former Chairman of Governor’s & Old Stopfordian, Richard Rimmington (OS 1962), has kindly shared the following information:
I have today (19/07/20) heard the sad news that Jeff Bissenden died a few days ago of cancer. Jeff was Captain of Nicholson and a prefect in 1961/62. He was a keen sportsman and played cricket for the SGS 1st team. He left school in 1962, attended Oxford University and became a consultant paediatrician in Birmingham. He was a member of Edgbaston GC and until 2017 Nefyn GC. He occasionally came to play in OS golfing fixtures.
Jeff was 75 and leaves a wife, Heather.
