This year’s Classics Play is called ‘Birds’.

The play will be performed in the Hallam Hall over three nights, Wednesday 31st January, Thursday 1st February and Friday 2nd February, starting at 7:30pm.

The comedy is a reworking of a play written by Aristophanes and first performed in Athens in 414BC. Two Athenians who are fed up with the ideals of their city leave to join up with the birds and create a new city in the sky.
