Dancers excited to take to the stage

Pupils pose with posters for the 2024 Dance Show

The school’s dancers have a busy few weeks ahead as they display their talent on the stage at a number of events.

Spring Dance Show

The excitement is ramping up as we approach this year’s Spring 2024 Dance Show, ‘This Is The Place’.

The show, which takes place at 7.30pm on Thursday 7th March and Friday 8th March, is a celebration of where we’re from and how Stockport and Manchester have helped shape the world.

Tickets for the Main Hall show are £8 each and can be purchased on Wisepay.

U.Dance Northwest Festival

Our Dance Company have been offered a place to perform in the U.Dance Northwest Festival at the Lowry Theatre on Saturday 9th March.

There was a high number of applications and we are thrilled to have been picked from a strong field.

The dancers will perform the piece they are making for the Making Moves project and they hope to be considered for the National Festival later in the year.

Making Moves Project

On Monday 18th March, our dancers will perform on the Lowry Theatre stage as part of Sadler’s Wells’ Making Moves choreography and dance performance project!

Earlier in the year we were successful in our application for a place in the project and have been working with professional choreographer Danielle ‘Rhimes’ Lecointe from ZooNation: The Kate Prince Company.

The project’s aim is to raise the profile of dance being created in youth settings and following their performance on the stage in Salford, they will receive feedback from industry professionals and potentially perform on Sadler’s Wells’ stage in the near future!
