Exceptional Year Six Production delights captivated audiences
Year Six pupils had a blast as they delivered a number of amazing performances of their production, Roald Dahl’s ‘Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf’.
The story sees Mr Wolf going up against Little Red Riding Hood and her little piggy pals.
The audience were taken on a rollercoaster of a journey as they sat down to see if the animal with the ‘big ears, big eyes and big appetite’ was going to be successful or if Little Red and her pals could save the day.
The children expertly played a range of characters, dressed in a wonderful array of outfits and sporting perfectly crafted make-up.
Some of these characters included Grandma, Sniffy – Little Red’s faithful canine companion, the Wise Owl, a chorus of woodland and animals and narrators to talk the audience through the topsy-turvy story.
The show’s Musical Director Miss Anastasia Micklethwaite said: “Year Six pupils made us all very proud this term with their fabulous production of ‘Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf’.
“They worked incredibly hard during rehearsals and put on fantastic shows for Junior School pupils and parents to watch. It was lovely to see the whole year group on stage performing really well, and there has been so much wonderful feedback from audience members.
“Well done to everyone who was involved to make this happen!”
