This year’s autumn Drama Production is ‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe’ and the excitement within the SSG community is palpable with the performance dates fast approaching.

The two shows, which take place in the Main Hall with a start time of 7.30pm, are on Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th November and tickets can be purchased on Wisepay.

‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe’ is a fantasy novel by C. S. Lewis and is the best known of the seven novels in ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’ series.

Most of the novel is set in Narnia, a land of talking animals and mythical creatures that is ruled by the evil White Witch. In the story, four English children are relocated to a large, old country house following a wartime evacuation and the youngest, Lucy, visits Narnia three times via the magic of a wardrobe in a spare room.

In the school’s production Lucy will be played by Third Year Cara Bell, Edmund will be portrayed by Third Year Will Harvey, Grace Ensor-Adams from the Fifth Year will be Susan and Peter will be played by Fourth Year Benjamin Smethurst.

Sixth Former Rebekah Nichols (The Professor) and Fifth Years Scarlett Sim (Aslan), Kirsty Hope (The White Witch) and Matthew Darbyshire (Mr Tumnus) are just a few of the 93-strong cast that will bring the fantasy novel to life.

The price of tickets is £6 for adults and £4 for concessions. If you do not have a Wisepay account, you can create one to buy your tickets.
