Junior School pupils enjoy sensational ski trip

Junior School pupils on the slopes during their ski trip

A number of Year Five and Six pupils had an amazing time in Bardonecchia, Italy as they embarked on a ski trip.

The girls and boys spent five hours a day on the slopes with their Italian instructors. For some it was their first experience of skiing on a mountain whilst for others it was a chance to develop and progress with the more technical aspects and challenging slopes.

In the evening they had the chance to take part in a wide range of activities including having fun on an Alpine roller coaster, taking a dip in the swimming pool, competing in games in the sports hall and enjoying pizza, crêpes and hot chocolate!

On the final night the pupils attended an awards night to reflect on their trip.

Trip organiser and Director of Junior School Sport Mr Martin Cooke said: “The trip was a great opportunity for pupils to experience time away from home whilst living in a different country and learning more about Italian culture.”

“The boys and girls were brilliantly behaved and it was a thoroughly great trip!”
