Junior School pupils relish robotics workshops

Nick from JuniorSTEM spent three fun days in the Junior School as he ran LEGO Robotics workshops for Year 3, 4 and 5 pupils.

There is always an extra buzz of excitement in the air when Nick is around and all three year groups thoroughly enjoyed their sessions and displayed an array of engineering skills.

The children showed great focus when following building instructions and they took delight in embellishing their models.

They also had a great time exploring programming their models and utilising the sensors to input information.

Year 4 pupils Sam and Max declared: “We enjoyed adding the motor and making the propellers spin.”

Elizabeth and Bayla added “We enjoyed building algorithms to give the helicopter special instructions.”

We look forward to seeing Nick again later in the year.
