Nursery children settle into life at SGJS

Nursery children go on a tractor hunt

From being “too hot for fun” to a “wonderful weather Wednesday which was wet and windy”, our Nursery girls and boys have settled into their new school very happily.

The children have explored all the areas of Nursery with interest and excitement, with the sand pit and big construction toys proving very popular!

With Manchester Airport not too far away, the pupils have watched lots of aeroplanes fly close by and it has been a delight to watch the children work together to build their very own aeroplane!

Activities got off to a flying start with a very enthusiastic first French lesson, a trip to see the Library, outdoor and indoor PE lessons and lively music lessons.

The children are also looking forward to their first swimming lesson at the school’s own pool.

As well as exploring the Nursery grounds, the boys and girls also donned their wellies to go on a tractor hunt as part of the Harvest Festival. They were excited to see a number of tractors and Kachi I remarked: “The tyre was as big as me!”
