Youngsters seamlessly settle into life at SGJS

Nursery pupils reading a book

As we approach the end of September, it is amazing to see that the girls and boys in Nursery and Reception have been settling into life at Stockport Grammar Junior School really well.

In the Nursery, the pupils have loved exploring both inside and outside the classroom and have relished taking part in their first French, Music and PE lessons.

Lots of new friendships have been developing with shared interests in the trains, home corner, colouring, sand and water.

The positive weather has allowed the children to get outside, with everyone enjoying the wild flower garden and the bike track.

Reception pupils have had a busy few weeks and have really enjoyed getting to know their new classmates and classrooms.

They have been playing in the sand, building some excellent models in the construction area and enjoying lots of role play in the home corner. They have even had a tour of Mr Copping’s office and played on the big climbing frame!
