Ed Francis

OS Date: 2017

Ed Francis (OS 2017) was signed by Exeter City Football Club in July 2024.

He was previously on the books of Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers – signing for them in January 2019 – Harrogate Town, Notts County and Gateshead.

Francis came through the academy system at Manchester City Football Club where he joined the Under 6 year group.  Ed captained the club’s Under 18 side in the final of the 2016-17 FA Youth Cup final against Chelsea.  Having graduated from the academy in summer 2018, Francis joined Dutch Eerste Divisie side Almere City on loan for the 2018-19 season.  During his time there he played predominantly for their development side, Jong Almere City in the Tweede Divisie.

Francis attended SGS between 2004 and 2013.  His OS Year would have been 2017 had he remained at the school.
