Pupils are advised to choose subjects where an A grade has been achieved at GCSE, but equally important for A Level study are commitment and self-discipline.
We welcome applications from pupils at other schools. A Sixth Form open evening is held in November and applicants may be offered a place subject to expected GCSE grades being achieved.

The completed admission form, accompanied by a cheque for £35 made payable to Stockport Grammar School, should be returned as soon as possible and no later than Monday 9th January 2012 to Mrs Judy Baker, the headmaster’s secretary.
