New Pre-Reception building for Spring 2021
Stockport Grammar School is excited that the construction of a new purpose-built Pre-Reception building is nearly complete and will be in use from Spring 2021.
A brand new single storey Pre-Reception building is being built within the grounds of the Junior School.
The development will replace the current Pre-Reception classroom and will have a stunning living green roof and utilise eco-friendly technology.
Work commenced in February 2020 and is due for completion in Spring 2021.
Other building developments
The construction of new Pre-Reception facilities follows on from a number of other building developments at SGS.
The Junior School building has undergone a number of impressive redevelopments and improvements including an entirely new roof for the main building, an extension to the front of the building, a new canopy, a refurbished Hall and a newly landscaped Quad area.
Additionally, we have developed new Sixth Form facilities and students now have a large, modern and well-equipped social space created – complete with a stylish glass roof. Existing facilities were also developed to provide enhanced study spaces for the students and contribute to SGS’s excellent academic record.
