Grass Pitches

Our 3.8 hectares of grass plays hosts to numerous sports including football, rugby, rounders, cricket and athletics.

The grass, which is maintained by our professional and dedicated Grounds team, is split into two senior rugby pitches and three pitches for the junior age groups. In the new year the rugby pitches are converted for football use with three 11-a-side pitches and four 7-a-side pitches for the Junior School. We also have high quality rugby goalposts with post protectors in school colours and football goals with yellow and black netting.

During the summer term the grass is used for cricket, with two artificial wickets and a number of grass wickets on the square. The grass is also home to four recently purchased state-of-the-art artificial cricket nets.

Rounders games take place on the grass and a full-size 400 metre athletics track, in addition to a separate eight lane sprint track, complements the two lane sandpit and facilities for other field events such as discus and javelin.
