Junior School

Stockport Grammar Junior School is a happy, inviting place where the children in our care grow to become confident learners.

As well as the classrooms we have specialist teaching rooms for ICT, Science, Music, Art and Design and Technology and a well-stocked and well-used library.

In addition to the all-weather pitch at the front of the Junior School, which boasts an eight lane sprint track, a cricket pitch and nets and two rounders pitches, the pupils share a further all-weather pitch, swimming pool, sports hall and extensive playing fields with the Senior School.

Nursery pupils moved into their brand new building straight after the 2021 Easter break.

The single storey Nursery building is within the grounds of the Junior School. With large bi-fold doors, the new development links the inside and the outside enabling the children to fully embrace outdoor learning whilst at the same time benefitting from high quality teaching from fully qualified teachers and Nursery assistants.

The wide range of activities on offer for the Nursery boys and girls in their dedicated space include building sandcastles in the hut, sharing stories in dedicated story time areas, splashing around with the water equipment, running up the mini-hill and making their way through the tunnel.
