The atmospheric and impressive St George’s Church played host to our annual Senior and Junior School Carol Services.

The Stopfordian Parents’ Association (SPA) were thrilled to welcome the SGS community to their Christmas Fair at the end of November.

As well as lessons in the classroom and within the school site, SGS pupils often embark on trips to support and strengthen their understanding of topics.

On 11th November, staff and pupils from both the Senior and Junior Schools joined Old Stopfordians and guests to remember those who gave their lives in battle.

Speech Day at Stockport Grammar School was an extra-special occasion this year with the official openings of the new Nursery and Sixth Form Centre buildings by Chairman of Governors Mr Christopher Dunn.

Towards the end of the Summer term, Senior and Junior School pupils took part in track and field events to earn points for their Houses during their Sports Days.

The Junior School decamped to the Dining Hall as they held their final event of the academic year, the Year Three to Six Prize Giving.

224 young mathematicians from 31 primary schools across Greater Manchester gathered at Stockport Grammar School on the 22nd and 23rd June for the annual Maths Challenges for Year Five children.

Pupils in Reception and Nursery have enjoyed fascinating water-themed lessons during the summer term.

For the three days running up to the summer half-term, Year Four children ventured to the Woodland Adventure Centre in the West Midlands for their residential.

Year Six pupils embraced being outdoors as they embarked on a fun residential in the village of Castleton and the surrounding area.
